At what stage do you start offering pupils careers advice?

Careers education and guidance runs throughout the Sixth Form and starts in September of Year 12. A combination of individual support and group activities are available as part of a structured programme, this includes Careers Lunches run by professionals from a variety of industries, Lectures about the World of Work, Insight Days and Work Experience; we aim to help students find out more about a range of careers and develop the skills to thrive beyond school.

Individual interviews and support are available from the Careers Team, Tutors and dedicated Universities team. Berkhamsted School has 3 dedicated members of staff in the Careers Department who are not teachers and have previous experience in a range of industries.
